1966 Ford Mustang Interior
Like the rest of the restoration, the interior started off concourse, but I wanted something a little more personal and comfortable. I'm not a huge fan of Pony interior, so I decided to stick with the stock black vinyl interior. I made some interior upgrades over time. I started with dash area by adding custom JME billet gauges with rose wood inserts. Then I matched the glove box door and a Lecarra wood steering wheel to instrument bezel's wood finish. Moving on to the floor area, I added a factory floor console, embroidered floor mats, installed TMI headrests, and added 1964 1/2 Mustang seat belts. I added a few NOS options such as passenger vanity mirror, rear deck defroster, and remote trunk release. I later replaced the stock A.M. radio with stock appearing but more modern radio from Custom Autosound. The USA 66 stereo has an MP3 and Ipod interface. I increased the sound output with 140 watt and 160 watt front Pioneer speakers, and 600 watt Pioneer sub woofers in the rear. The speakers are supported by a 800 watt Pioneer amplifier. That's plenty of cruising sound for me.
