1966 Ford Mustang 200 CID
There is nothing more simpler than a Mustang with a Straight Six. I could have avoided all the jokes like, "Hey you know you're missing two cylinders." That's OK. My 1966 Mustang is for cruising, and she gets plenty of attention from others. The Ford 200 Six Cylinder's restoration started off concourse' but as you can see from the photos a lot has changed over the years. A little chrome here and there, and yes those are polished freeze plugs. Maybe a little carried away? That's one of the problems with Straight Sixes, you can see everything. I later, toned it down a little by adding a black Valve Cover by Classic Inlines's, and added a little power with Clifford Headers, a 2 Barrel Weber Carburetor, and Pertronix Ignition System. I added a little more aggressive sound by adding 2" exhaust with a Mac Pro-Chamber Muffler. Six Cylinders seem to have a hard time keeping cool in traffic, so I added a Scott Drake Aluminum Radiator, six bladed fan, and a shroud. I also added a Chrome Export Brace and an adjustable Stainless Steel Monte Carlo Bar for extra stiffening for the old unibody. When it comes time for a engine rebuild, I want to add roller rockers and a mild cam for some added power.
